BIRTHDAY WISHES
5/15/15
May 15th is my birthday. It is a celebration of the moment I left the higher worlds and entered the physical reality to experience my next great adventure. I had carefully selected my parents, my birthplace, time of birth, and my birthday – Ascension Thursday, a Catholic holy day. I had also partnered with a wonderful mind, one that had previously accompanied me on many such journeys. I had carefully designed my life plan – one filled with awesome events, twists and curves, mysteries and unlimited possibilities. It was to be centered on a love of God and all of God’s creations, and I would be blessed with family, friends, good books, and lots of animals.
I remember traveling through the birth canal. I went from floating in a peaceful world of water to a terrifying need to escape the enormous physical pressure my body felt. I transitioned from a state of relative oblivion to one where I was fully engaged in survival. Despite this, I knew that I had to move forward, enter the physical reality, and take that first breath - the breath that would lock my
spirit into the body I had chosen.
I have no conscious memory of the actual moment I was born. I asked my mother for details, and she relayed the sacred moment of my birth in the following manner: “I had just finished a pizza and some good wine when I went into labor. I don’t remember the moment you were born, because as soon as I saw the doctor, I stuck my arm out and told him to knock me out. I woke up after
the fact, and you were already in the hospital nursery.”
Whenever a soul enters the physical reality, a spiritual window opens to accommodate this. The window is initially wide open, then closes each day incrementally over the following two weeks. This process occurs again at the time of death.
The two-week window serves as a spiritual gift for those coming and going and for all of their loved ones. It is a blessed opportunity to quickly bring new inventions into our lives, and to let go of the things we no longer wish to experience.
Annual Birthdays carry a special energy that serves as a mini-spiritual window.
•The day should begin with an acknowledgment and celebration of the many blessings you have received in your lifetime.
•Spend time reviewing and redefining your perfect life, evaluating your progress in this regard, and remembering that you have been given the ability to live with unlimited possibilities and reinvent any and all situations.
•The first Birthday gift you received on the day you were born was the gift of a life in the physical reality. You agreed in return to deliver a special gift to the world. Your annual Birthday celebration should include an honest exploration of how well you are fulfilling that agreement.
•Your Birthday is the perfect time to smile, laugh, love yourself, and rejoice in the knowledge that happiness is your birthright.
