The Swan Center Seminar programs are designed and written by Rose Longhill, who has been teaching personal success, self-awareness, and animal communication workshops since 1971. Rose worked for fifteen years as a professional psychic and parapsychology consultant, lecturer and teacher. She was well known for her accurate insights into personal success, corporate management, family issues, missing person cases, and unsolved crimes. Rose was featured regularly in newspapers throughout Florida and North Carolina and appeared frequently on TV and radio.
Rose's love of animals inspired her to conduct a nationwide lecture tour on animal communication and partnership, from 1977 to 1980. In her lectures, she shared ways that humans and animals could interact as a more effective, harmonious team. Her clients included dolphin trainers, animal behavior specialists, scientists, veterinarians, dog and horse breeders and trainers, and animal lovers from all walks of life.
Rose left her career as a parapsychology consultant in 1980, to pursue her true passion - helping people achieve personal success. She toured throughout the United States and abroad, conducting lectures and workshops on the principles of success. Her workshop topics included: Inventing Your Life; Inventing Your Health; Right Brain Success for Corporations; Entrepreneurial Success; Success in Relationships; Sexuality and Expressing Love; Parapsychology and Psychic Development; Spirituality and Nature; Animals as Soul; and Personal Success and Horses.
John Longhill's intrinsic love of nature, led him to earn degrees in Oceanography and Landscape Architecture. He is a professional nature photographer, who has had showings of his work throughout the Southeast United States. He is an award winning landscape architect who gained national recognition when his landscape work was featured in several major publications. John spent five years as the director of a branch office, for a large Landscape Architectural firm in Florida, and has owned and managed his own firm for the past 20 years. His business skills include resource analysis, concept development, master planning, contract negotiation and construction supervision, as well as employee management.
John's talents in business management were made known to Rose in 1985, at a time when she was seeking a new business manager for her seminar company. They entered into a business partnership in 1986 when they discovered that they both shared the dream of establishing a center where people, from all walks of life and religious backgrounds, could retreat to, and experience God in nature. In 1987, Rose, John, and a group of their colleagues, established the Swan Center for Intuitive Living, in Sandy Springs, Georgia. The center housed a seminar company, an alternative health center, a fine arts gallery and offices for personal counseling and success coaching.
During this time Rose completed a twelve-year apprenticeship, under the tutelage of the Headmaster of the Swanéte monastery (pronounced; Swan eh tay) in Tibet, in 1986, and was initiated as a master of the philosophy. At that time, she was assigned the tasks of establishing the philosophy as a religious entity in the United States, developing a new monastery for the training of the priesthood for the philosophy, and putting the philosophy in writing. In October of 1987, Rose and John acquired 123 for the Swanéte monastery, in Marble Hill, Georgia. They incorporated the rescuing and rehabilitation of abused and neglected animals, into the training matrix of the monastery, and in time the Swan Center Monastery became known worldwide for its animal training methods and it's success in rehabilitating animals.
Rose was appointed Headmaster of the Swan Center Monastery in 1989. Her duties included designing, directing and teaching the Monastery's training programs; pastoral duties for the monastery's church members; and writing discourses on the philosophy.
In 1999, Rose, John and a group of supporters, established and incorporated Swan Center Outreach - a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, for the purpose of animal rescue; the prevention of cruelty to animals; and educating the public on the therapeutic and spiritual value of animals.
Swan Center Outreach offers courses to the general public on animal care and training, riding programs and lessons, children's horse camps, girl and boy scout programs, and animal programs for the mentally and physically challenged.
Presently, Rose and John own and manage Swan Center Seminars and are the directors of The Swan Center for Intuitive Living Inc. They also serve as Swanéte priests and masters, and as Trustees for Swan Center Outreach Inc.
John is responsible for the design and development of the Swan Center Outreach facility. He is also the financial manager for The Swan Center for Intuitive Living and for Swan Center Outreach.
Rose designs and writes the public programs for Swan Center Outreach. She and John are the principle animal trainers, and oversee the care of the animals. Rose teaches courses to employees and volunteers on the psychological and physical rehabilitation of animals, as well as public courses on horse and dog training. She accepts a limited number of apprentices each year to participate in her Horse Trainer Partnership program - an in-depth program on horse psychology, behavior, communication and training. Rose continues to travel and conduct public speaking engagements, on personal success and animal communication.
Rose, John and their team of personal success coaches teach Inventing Your Life and Right Brain Success workshops, to individuals and corporations throughout the United States and abroad. The Corporate Teambuilding & Leadership Training and the Riding Intuitively program are taught exclusively by Rose and John, on a regular basis at the Swan Center Outreach facility and at other locations by special request.
