Riding Intuitively®

Riding Intuitively® is a unique approach to riding, which integrates imagination and intuition; the principals of balance found in martial arts training; and animal communication skills, resulting in true partnership with the horse. The program is based upon a philosophy that horses are intelligent, conscious beings, capable of thought, emotion, and communication with humans.

The exercises and techniques presented in the Riding Intuitively® program enable the rider to develop, or enhance, balanced riding skills while off the horse. Once these practices have been firmly established, the rider can then apply them while on the horse, enabling the rider to improve their riding skills at a much faster pace then previously thought possible. This is not only more beneficial and practical for the rider, but is also kinder and less confusing to the horse.

The animal communication skills create an increased awareness of the horse’s needs, and how to best satisfy them; and enable the rider to truly communicate their needs to the horse as well. Once this level of communication has been established, the horse and rider can easily form a strong partnership, and can more readily learn to move in complete harmony with one another.

The Riding Intuitively® program is offered to both children and adults. Children ages 5 thru 12 may participate in the riding lesson format. Ages 13 through adult can participate in either the riding lesson format or in a clinic format.
